Another panoramic rooftop bar opens in downtown Budapest

Attached to the four-star Hotel Memories near Kálvin tér in the heart of Budapest, the Memorise Skybar is the latest in a number of lofty establishments to offer long drinks with a lovely view.

Located on the sixth floor of the Hotel Memories, the Memorise Skybar opens for business at 5pm, its south-west orientation allowing you to catch the sunset over Citadella atop Gellért Hill.

As you gaze at the disappearing rays and downtown rooftops, you can opt for a classic (Daiquiri, Margarita, 2,000-2,500 HUF) or a signature cocktail such as a Memorise Old Fashioned (4,500 HUF) with Zacapa 23 rum, fig syrup and orange bitters, or a Hendrick’s Twist (3,950 HUF) with cucumber-infused Hendrick’s gin and Fever Tree tonic.

The grilled food selection isn’t shabby either, the house deer burger coming in a black bun (3,800 HUF), and steak (6,500 HUF) with a garnish of green and yellow courgettes, or orange-and-fennel salad.

There are salads, too, tandoori-grilled prawn (3,900 HUF) or grilled goats’ cheese (3,300 HUF), and all may be bookended by pineapple soup (1,650 HUF) and the house tapioca pudding (2,100 HUF).
