A photo of Nyugati Railway Station has placed 2nd in the Sony World Photography Awards, an international photography competition. Congratulations goes to photographer M. Schmidt János for the beautiful image that received a podium position in the first year that a mobile phone photo category had been awarded.
This year, photographers from 171 countries entered 173,000 photos into the competition. The winner was Italian Turi Calafato with an image of
two people relaxing on the beach.
Some of the photos of the Sony World Photography Awards - including the photo by M. Schmidt János - will be exhibited at Somerset House in London from 24 April to 10 May.
