In an extraordinary marriage of Hungarian hospitality, the eagerly anticipated Prestige Hotel Budapest will open this spring in a majestically rejuvenated palace with a world-class restaurant in-house: Costes Downtown, a second location of the deluxe Ráday Street eatery that won Hungary’s first Michelin star.

Announced at this evening’s glittering gala reception at Pest’s Continental Hotel Budapest – itself an impressively restored landmark of high-quality accommodations – this news ensures that the Prestige Hotel Budapest will be a premier destination for visitors to Hungary’s capital, as well as an exalted dining site for locals. Launching concurrently within the same gorgeous belle-époque palace that is now being meticulously restored and modernized, the hotel’s Costes Downtown will be the first new branch of the eatery that revolutionized fine dining in Hungary, again led by masterful Portuguese chef Miguel Rocha Vieira.

After welcoming guests amid a stately lobby constructed from the building’s courtyard, visitors to the Prestige Hotel Budapest will discover spaciously comfortable rooms designed with classic style and modern elegance, while a conference room presents state-of-the-art facilities and a spa offers relaxation with a whirlpool tub and sauna, all located within steps of major landmarks like the Basilica and the Chain Bridge.

Meanwhile, Costes Downtown promises to be a highlight of any hotel stay, and also a must-visit destination for all of Hungary’s foodies. With nearly twice as much seating space as the original location, this new Costes site will bear a sophisticated-yet-relaxed ambience featuring a show kitchen and a chef’s table, where diners will enjoy the same caliber of creatively crafted cuisine made with exquisite international ingredients and no compromises.

The Prestige Hotel Budapest and Costes Downtown will open in April of 2015 on Vigyázó Ferenc Street in District V – keep reading We Love Budapest for updates, or check out the hotel website for details.
