Punnany Massif
The popularity of PunnanyMassif increases at an astonishing pace, and their live show is not an everyday experience, either: the band mixes hip-hop basics with live instruments and striking designs, perfectly matching their special sounds with witty and poetic lyrics. For them, the violin and the double bass are basic instruments, just like the turntable and the keyboard.
Where? When? Main Stage, 17:45Subscribe
Their music is usually interesting, but sometimes changing. Their looks are practical and/or well-dressed, but the members are typically dedicated to their instruments. Nothing reflects their hard work more than the fact that they have been playing every concert with full force since September of 2001.
Where? When? Petőfi Radio - VOLT Festival Stage, 18:30Madness
They repeatedly show us at Sziget how a ska party is supposed to be: full of dancing, singing, and rampaging. This year’s concert will be no different: Madness is on world tour again, and they might even change the weather with their arrival.
Where? When? Main Stage, 19:30Jagwar Ma
Their music is mainly for those thirsty for pampering and punishment, and can be described in any way except for chemical-free. The only thing that can set limits at their shows are the boundaries of our abstraction capabilities: hyper-intelligent and simple, liberating and depressive, hypnotic and mundane, overheated and rigid. Tens of thousands of festival-goers could already make sure of how breathtaking their live productions are, and now people at Sziget can walk into their dream trap woven from synthetic materials, as well.
Where? When? A38 Stage, 19:50The Prodigy
Tens of thousands of people rave at their concerts, they have millions of fans all over the world, and it is impossible to think of a festival season in Hungary without them. Prodigy is the most successful, most popular, and most rabid British electronic-music formation of the past 20 years. They will take care of the festivalgoers at Sziget in 2014 as well; Keith Flint and his crew are guaranteed to surpass their previous shows, just as they do every year.
Where? When? Main Stage, 21:30 Crystal Fighters
Traditional-acoustic Basque-music elements, bass bases, and euphoric electronic sounds from chillwave to faster dubstep-electro fronts – we can label the Crystal Fighters from London with these associative elements. Their music includes such complex and catchy musical style elements that there is no match for it in the current alternative-dance-music universe.
