Community bike-repairingCyclonomia is a bike-repair shop located at the foot of the Margareth Bridge (Katona József utca 39.) open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-8pm and on Saturdays from 12 pm – 6pm where with an annual membership costing you no more than 3000HUF (10€) repair your bike with their tools in their space on your own. But if you’re someone who can’t even blow up your pair of tires then there’s no need to despair because there is always help at hand.
DegrowthHowever the shop is not only practical for you daily riders but it is also part of a bigger project called Degrowth and Transition, which altogether aims at teaching us self-help and sharing know-how and actual equipment with us.
Cyclonomia is really more than just a repair shop so while working on your bike or waiting for it notice the engineers designing and constructing bicycle trailers and cargo-bicycles to test new uses of the ‘bike’ we know today.
