Spring has officially hit town, bringing an early blossoming of flowers and trees. So get your camera ready as you are in for some truly pretty walks! Such as atop Gellért Hill, which is already coming to life thanks to the mild weather. Budapest's most famous – and most Instagrammed – almond trees are now in bloom, offering a picture-perfect scenery. We mean pastel pink flowers and the breathtaking views of the Danube and Liberty Bridge combined – just head to the cross above the Cave Church to admire it all.
Fun fact: the beautiful almond trees we enjoy today are the result of careful planting work by the predecessor of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
