7pm - 10pm: Magashegyi Underground concert at Kobuci KertHungarian alternative rock formation Magashegyi Underground throws a rowdy birthday bash to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary with an open-air gig happening at Óbuda’s Kobuci Kert, a hidden courtyard found within the historic Zichy Palace. Before the show kicks off at 8:30pm, Magyar rock band Meztelen Diplomaták keeps spirits high from 7:17pm.
7pm - 10pm: Hot Sardines concert at the Margaret Island Open-Air StageThis New York-based band hits the stage in Budapest to entertain bebop buffs with liquor-drinking jazz out on the city’s Margaret Island. Fueled by the belief that classic jazz feeds the heart and soul, the Hot Sardines are on a mission to refresh old sounds and prove that joyful music can bring people together in a disconnected world.
10pm - 5am: International Love Affair party at Fogas HázBudapest’s biggest ruin bar fills with a global crowd as high-spirited revelers take the dance floor to shake it to a fusion of fascinating tunes, including Detroit garage rock combined with Motown soul, British punk of the ’70s mixed with the era’s New York disco beats, blues interlocked with glam rock, and alternative pop music completing the spectrum. 10am - 8pm: Gilbert & George exhibition at the Ludwig Museum In a new Budapest exhibit showcasing groundbreaking works of Gilbert & George – a British duo whose images personally appear in their surreal pictures as “living sculptures” – we can view their hand-painted photo-based imagery that blurs the boundaries between private and creative lives in our modern urban existence.11am - 7pm: DIP Design Fair at Central Passage Aspiring Hungarian designers offer handmade merchandise, including apparel and accessories, graphics, photos, toys, and even natural cosmetic products during the DIP Design Fair, a chic market regularly happening in downtown Budapest. The main theme of this upcoming design event highlights outdoor weddings, alfresco activities, and summer holidays.12pm - 4pm: Budapest SUP gathering on the Danube near the ParliamentHop on a stand-up paddle board and view Budapest from a central perspective, or simply flock to the Danube bank near the Parliament to see a group of SUP (stand-up paddle) surfers taking the waters, creating a one-of-a-kind sight in the Hungarian capital.
3pm - 6pm: Budapest Pride March beginning at Kossuth SquareAll colors of the rainbow shine bright during the Budapest Pride March, when the Hungarian LGBTQ community comes together to encourage acceptance and social tolerance. The vibrant event also aims to highlight the importance of equal rights and equal opportunities for everyone in our society. The Pride March kicks off at 3pm with the performance of Swedish-Hungarian singer Antonia Vai.
6:30pm - 10:30pm: The Black Dahlia Murder concert at A38Anchored near the Petőfi Bridge on the Buda side of town, the A38 ship is one of the city’s most fascinating concert locales, with several musical shows happening aboard almost every night of the week. American melodic death metal band the Black Dahlia Murder returns to the deck to give a kicking club gig aboard this repurposed cargo boat.
7pm-midnight: Óbuda Blues Fest at Kobuci KertEvery July, Óbuda’s concealed Kobuci Kert hosts some of Europe’s best blues musicians to present the roots and recent variations of the genre. Celebrating the event’s 5th anniversary this year, the festival aims to celebrate blues not only as a traditional musical genre, but also as a contemporary art form. In addition to the melodic concerts, the event is complete with guitar and accordion workshops and movie screenings.
7pm - 10pm: Anna & the Barbies concert at Barba Negra TrackHungarian alternative-rock band Anna and the Barbies throws a surreal concert show with eye-catching costumes and psychedelic settings at Budapest’s expansive Barba Negra Track, an open-air hotspot found near the Buda side of Rákóczi Bridge. Before the quirky concert show kicks off at 8:20pm, Magyar formation Half Note City heats up the scenes with alternative pop tunes.

11am - 7pm: WAMP Design Fair at Erzsébet SquareWAMP – a beloved design fair in Budapest – takes place once again on Sunday, presenting the latest products of Hungarian designers at Erzsébet Square in the sweet summertime sunshine. After browsing through the countless accessories, clothing, and stunning small-scale pieces, market-goers can cool down by dipping their feet in the cold pool found in the middle of the square.6pm – 9pm: Solaris screening at Bem Mozi
When a psychologist is sent on an interstellar journey to a space station orbiting the mysterious planet of Solaris – where the crew is apparently in grave distress, sending only garbled messages to Earth – he has no idea of how far this mind-bending odyssey will take him. Join this far-out sojourn during the rare big-screen showing of this classic 1972 film from the USSR, presented with original Russian dialogue and English subtitles.
6pm - : Terrace Summer Session at Akvárium KlubAs shadows get long in the heart of downtown Budapest, the super-central Akvárium Klub heats up every evening with their Terrace Summer Sessions series, bringing diverse musicians and DJs to the popular oversized staircase where friends convene for cool conversations. On Sunday evening, Rony Breaker sets the mood with good grooves.
6:30pm – 11:59pm: Budapest Rooftop Cinema Guardians of the Galaxy double feature at Corvin ClubWatch the action-packed blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy and its new sequel back-to-back under starry skies on the sprawling rooftop of a former communist-era department store, in this weekend-closing installment of the summertime Budapest Rooftop Cinema series.
8pm - : The Best Film Music Songs concert at the Margaret Island Open-Air Stage Hear premier Hungarian performers sing the hits from major movies like Titanic, Dirty Dancing, Rocky, and other blockbusters while montages from these films are screened as a backdrop, all presented under moonlight amid the amphitheater beside the historic Margaret Island Water Tower.
