The most wonderful time of the year has reached its Christmas Day climax, and here in Budapest the holiday spirit is evident almost everywhere – Szent István Square before the Basilica is beautifully decorated, Andrássy Avenue shines bright under sparkling lights, the illuminated streetcars are roaming the city thoroughfares, and the wooden stalls of Christmas markets still offer merry merchandise through this next week. We celebrate the arrival of Noel with a breathtaking collection of Budapest images from during this holiday season by renowned Magyar photographer Krisztián Bódis.
