1pm - 6pm: A Tale Of Two Cities at kArton GalleryHungary and South Korea, Budapest and Seoul – two constantly developing, sparkling, and cool cities. Two photographers set out to capture the other’s favorite city and the everyday lives of its people.
Gergely Szatmári spent ten days in Seoul, and wanted to confirm or rebuff the European stereotypes of South Korea’s capital. Kim Jinsuk spent almost a month in Hungary, looking to snap shots of the city and its inhabitants, as well as their similarities and differences compared to their Korean counterparts.
2pm - 7pm:Wine fest at Clark Ádám SquareA wine festival in the heart of the city, around the country’s zero-kilometer marker! Eight wineries, one guitar, one DJ – and a zero-forint entrance fee. Wineries represented will include Ax & Ax Borászat, Basilicus, Béres Szőlőbirtok-Winery Tokaj, Böjt, Hilltop Neszmély Borászat, Holdvölgy, Jammertal, miklóscsabi pincéje, Varsányi Pincészet – what else could you ask for? Let’s go outside!
6pm: Budapest and fashion, discussion and vintage fair at Budapest Pont The Budapest fashion salon of Klára Rothschild was an institution in the region before the change of regime: the wives of such local honchos as János Kádár and Ferenc Münnich, as well as the better halves of Marshal Tito or Austrian Chancellor Franz Vranitzky, who had their clothes made at the legendary studio. Fashion was part of Budapest life even during the darkest times, and the first fashion buff in the country was none other than 19th-century Magyar statesman István Széchenyi, who once wore pink for days for the sake of a bet. Nowadays, Hungary is making its way back onto the international fashion scene with supermodels Enikő Mihalik and Barbara Palvin, and the Gombold újra! initiative.
7pm: Show People’s Night at Budapest Zoo At the beginning of the 1800s, a peculiar world was born that provided entertainment for the people of Buda and Pest for the next 200 years.
Show people, acrobats, and clowns performed to amaze people from all walks of life. The institution of this popular entertainment was called the “vurstli”, which Show People’s Night endeavors to recreate on May 29th.
11pm - 4am: NIGHTDRIVE Presents MNDSGN at Toldi ClubMNDSGN is an LA-based musician and producer with a new album out with Stones Throw Records called “Yawn Zen”. His music is a haunting, shadowy distillation of soul, jazz, hip-hop, exotica, and electronics. Headnodding. Saturday

10am - 10pm: CityMatiné S04E03 at Napozó A sun-soaked beach above the city, where the best Hungarian DJs mix the best tunes while you are sipping on an ice-cold drink with your best friends? It isn't a utopian dream, it's your program for this week’s Saturday. Be amongst the first people to dive into the trendiest beach of the capital!
10am - 6pm: Hungarian Art in Transylvania 1920-1990 at the Hungarian National Gallery The exhibition presents art from this region and period on an unprecedented scale. Instead of an approach based on existing stereotypes, the display introduces the lesser-known, hidden, or completely unknown aspects of Transylvanian art. This comprehensive exhibition greatly relies on works loaned from public and private collections in Transylvania and Romania. Its nine sections demonstrate various features of these seven decades of Transylvanian-Hungarian art.
10am - 9pm: Vegan Spring Festival at MÜSZI Attend various lectures and workshops to find out about the ethics of veganism, its impact on health and the environment, and its community-building power. The festival will be kicked off with a one-day exhibition of pictures by vegan artists and concluded with the performance of singer Adrienn Somogyi. Vegan products will be available throughout the festival at the fair.
2pm - 9pm: Turkish Gastronomy Street Festival at Yunus Emre Budapest Immerse yourself in the bustle of the Turkish bazaar! A whole afternoon about Turkish gastronomy. Learn how to make Turkish tea and coffee, or smell and taste Turkish spices, cheeses, and other tantalizing treats. Have a cup of tea at the authentic Turkish tea tent, sample authentic Turkish street food, shop at the bazaar, and pick up some cooking tricks from star chef Attila Nuray.
8pm - 11pm:Stereo MCs Live Band Show at Akvárium One of the most successful hip-hop and dance acts of Great Britain, Stereo MCs returns for their annual Hungarian show, this time at Akvárium. Even though the two founding members, Rob Birch and Nick ‘the Head’ Hallam, are both over 50 years old, they still have as much energy as they did when they first started out. Come and rock out to their biggest hits such as “Step It Up”, “Creation”, “Ground Level”, “Black Gold” and “Elevate My Mind”.Sunday

Hip-Hop Brunch at 360 BarHeadnodding hip-hop, rooftop panoramas, tasty cocktails, and three different kinds of breakfast (English, sweet, light) to cure your hunger/hangover.
8.30pm: Némafilmzene - Ádám Czitrom & Áron Porteleki at KisüzemSilent and muted films with improvised, experimental music as a soundtrack. This time, a well-known drum-guitar duo will play interestingly crafted soundtracks for theater plays.
Definitely something you don’t bump into every day!
