Interventions exhibition

All weekend, 10am - 6pmMono Art & DesignInterventions is the exhibition project by a group of current and freshly graduated students of the KEF – Photography Department at the University of Kaposvár. It was originally created for the OFF Festival Bratislava in 2014, where it was awarded by the Festival's main prize entitled ON_Award. It is the first time you can see the works in Hungary - and to make things even more special, the Architecture Uncomfortable Workshop has created a special installation especially for this exhibition. Jazz Showcase 2015

All weekend, 4pmMüPa - Palace Of Arts The name says it all: MüPa's anual jazz showcase is all about introducing talented, up-and-coming Hungarian musicians and bands. Like in past years, there are special guests from two other countries - in 2015, they are from Belgium (Chrystel Wautier Trio, Philip Catherine Quartet, Igor Gehenot Trio) and the Netherlands (Aurelio Project). As far as local favourites are concerned, you can catch Chris Devil Trio, Egri János Jr. Quartet, Gányi Miklós Nu-Bop Trió, as well as others over the three-day event. The aim of the exhibition titled "Talajfogás" is to showcase how skateboarding has evolved into an alternative way of transport, a landmark of youth culture, and why skateboarding can be considered an urban art form. All of the exhibitors are die-hard skateboarders, and everything exhibited is related to skateboarding: videos, fanzines, photos, illustrations, documentaries and songs. Not only for Tony Hawk-fans! Friday, 8pm - 9.10pmTrafó In his newest piece Csaba Molnár investigates his own intuitive, visual and audio images and compares them to the sensual and structural worlds of Boccaccio’s Decameron. Just like him, Csaba Molnár also questions the idea of hero and he stages the Italian writer's stories with irony and erotica. Without any shame, he questions the role of religions and morals in the society - not a surprise, that he is regarded as one of the most interesting Hungarian choreographers. Bollywood party

Saturday, 6.30pmMika Tivadar Mulató A real Bollywood party is always about dance, music and good vibrations. On Saturday, at Mika Tivadar Mulató, you can get all three, plus they will screen a Bollywood film with english subtitles too. The film, Hasee Toh Phasee, is a great romantic comedy. After the screening, DJ Milendee and DJ Thot will spin the freshest Indianese hits, the well-known classic songs, and of course, bhangra! During the DJ sets: Schlakker Angelika's dance performance. The power duo guitarist Ádám Czitrom and drummer Áron Porteleki was formed in 2013 to collaborate in the making of the contemporary dance performance entitled Skin me, which they have toured with through Europe ever since. They both have been playing in many projects covering a wide array of genres: jazz, contemporary rock and Hungarian folk music. Their music is characterised by an essential intensity that displays itself through various soundscapes. Their original material often takes on a narrative or a character whose story provides the framework for free improvisation. Rock out at the official Facebook event.
Soft Rocks

Melting jazz, disco, heavy cowbells and abstract analogica, Brighton’s Soft Rocks celebrate psychedelic dance music in their very own way. It's like David Byrne, Kenny Dope and Gilles Peterson jamming together in a club, after midnight.
Born of well-girded loins in fair Brighton town are enigmas on top of mysteries, on top of scandals, on the top deck of a double decker bus. They are a collective, they are calm and collected, they are collectible, and possibly even contemptible.

Saturday, 11pmToldi Nima Gorji is the founder of the label Welt Recordings and NG Trax, a talented producer and a DJ who has spent most of the past two decades behind the decks.
In 1995 he began a residency at the Rust Club, now remembered as one of the most known underground clubs in Copenhagen, where he played alongside a number of international artists, including Kerri Chandler and Kevin Yost. Since then, he has become a resident at the biggest clubs of Ibiza, and continued to make a name as one of the best house/techno DJs in the world - and on this night, you'll surely hear that he has everything it takes to be one. Every Sunday night, a chosen artist (or band) improvises a new soundtrack to a well-known silent/muted films. Váczi Dániel has already played during the program series; on that occasion he played Bach-variations as a soundtrack, but this time he is up to something new!
