Józsi Gál and his team made their name at MészárSteak, one of Budapest’s best butcher’s shops, at the Hegyvidék Center. Now they have opened their own restaurant as well. At MészárSteak Kitchen, the focus falls, unsurprisingly, on meat and Hungarian flavours. The prices are friendly – particularly the two- and three-course lunches – and the steaks wet-aged.
