The Galopp Major has been a peaceful refuge from the buzz of the city for more than three decades. Set within a four-hectare leisure park in Gyál, just outside of Budapest, this horse ranch offers rustic-style accommodation in round clay houses with a thatched roof. The old-fashioned atmosphere is balanced out by a modern kitchen serving traditional Hungarian cuisine. Chef Tamás Bötz-Gál, behind outstanding restaurants such as Onyx and Costes, reformed the culinary style at the Galopp Major with a sophisticated menu based on quality Hungarian ingredients.
