Budapest's biggest colour festival returns to Kincsem Park for Holi Peace Budapest, running from 5 pm on Friday 20 June until 5 am Saturday.  Crowned Hungary’s original and most colourful colour festival since 2014, the event invites thousands to unite under vibrant clouds of colour powder for non-stop music, confetti showers, powder blasts, fireworks, and that unforgettable collective colour toss .

The Gárdonyi Picnic is back for its seventh edition, bringing a lively mix of events to Gárdonyi Square on Saturday 21 June from 2 pm. On Saturday, June 21, we will celebrate World Yoga Day with a special programme on one of the most beautiful rooftop terraces in Budapest, The Private Rooftop on Hermina Street. On Sunday, 22 June, from 12 pm to 6 pm, the SHUK SHUK Design Market is back at Giulia’s leafy terrace for its summer edition. Alongside familiar faces – including designers from Kamay Ko – this time you’ll also discover new makers and fresh finds.

Budapest Pride is in full swing this June, with over 90 colourful and diverse events running between 6 and 28 June, all led by local communities and activists. From theatre shows, film screenings and workshops to city walks, game nights, parties and more, the programme celebrates the richness and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. While the big march and Rainbow Party take place on Saturday, 28 June, this weekend also offers a taste of Pride’s inclusive spirit with open events happening across the city on Sunday, 22 June — all in the name of freedom, visibility, and joy.
