Cabrio x Gasthaus Waltz

For two nights only, Munich’s Gasthaus Waltz is popping up at Cabrio, bringing its Michelin Bib Gourmand–awarded Alpine cuisine to Budapest. Run by Austrian duo Markus Hirschler and Stefan Grabler, Waltz is known for its modern take on Central European classics, built around seasonal ingredients and bold, comforting flavours. The limited menu will be paired with a small selection of special wine bottles, available exclusively on these two evenings. Table reservations are recommended.

Nachos & Salsa Workshop at Tereza

On 5 FebruaryTereza hosts a relaxed, flavour-led Nachos & Salsa Workshop that dives straight into the joy of Mexican snacking culture. The evening focuses on freshly fried tortilla chips, mezcal-kissed guacamole and a bright mango–shrimp salsa, paired with drinks along the way - from a welcome prosecco to classic Margaritas, mezcal tastings and a playful Don Julio Blanco finale.

Indoor Beer Festival

Taking place on 6 - 7 February, the  9th Indoor Beer Festival returns to the grand halls of the  Anantara New York Palace Budapest. Visitors can enjoy  unlimited tastings of nearly 100 draft beers , served in 1–2 dl portions, with both Hungarian and international breweries represented - including Augustiner Bräustübl, Erdinger, Fehér Nyúl Brewery, Horizont Brewing and HopTop Brewery.

Chinese New Year Festival 2026

On 7 - 8 February, the Chinatown Budapest hosts the Chinese New Year Festival, bringing two days of food, culture and spectacle to the city. Three Chinese cultural delegations will perform lion and dragon dances, kung fu shows, tai chi and qigong demonstrations, alongside acrobatic elements and fire performances, while two guest chefs from Chengdu prepare authentic Sichuan street food on site.

Cats & Wine: Valentine’s Day Tasting at the Cat Museum

On 13 February, Cat Museum Budapest hosts a playful Valentine's wine tasting inspired by the “relationship stages” of cats. The five-glass guided tasting, led by a wine expert in collaboration with Bortársaság, runs from fresh sparkling wines through to a dessert wine, with cheese and snacks included. Limited to 10 participants, the event is open to couples and solo guests alike, with arrival from 6.30pm and the tasting taking place 7 - 9pm at Vadász utca 26. Tickets cost HUF 15,900.

Budapest Central European Fashion Week 

Budapest Central European Fashion Week returns between 9 - 15 February, with Creative Hungary organising the region's leading fashion event for the seventeenth time. The week will showcase Autumn/Winter 2026 collections by Hungarian and regional designers, with runway shows on 13 February at Apollo Gallery and on 14–15 February at the Museum of Fine Arts. Alongside the shows, the Fashion Hub opens at the museum with free talks, workshops and industry discussions in Hungarian and English.

White Lies at Dürer Kert

Formed in 2008, White Lies are one of the defining acts of melancholic indie rock, having played to thousands of fans in major cities around the world. As part of their early-2026 tour, the band will give their first standalone Budapest concert on 13 February at Dürer Kert.

Galentine's Day at Giulia

Valentine's Day can wait - on 13 February, Giulia Budapest is all about Galentine's. The evening is dedicated to the girls, with cocktails, conversations and those inevitable “just one more” moments. For the occasion, two special cocktails will be on offer: Rosa Segreta (gin, lemon, raspberry–rose foam) and Fuoco d’Amore (mezcal, Ancho Reyes, chocolate bitters).

Hug brunch at norma/grand

On 14 February, nor/ma grand invites guests to slow down and celebrate closeness with a relaxed Valentine's Day brunch inspired by the Swedish word kram, meaning “hug”. Expect comforting favourites like shakshuka, avocado toast and granola bowls, plus a one-day-only “love letter” pastry created especially for the occasion — a gentle, cosy way to spend the day over good food and unhurried conversations.

Taco Fiesta Tuesdays at Tereza

Between 3 and 24 February, Tuesdays at Tereza are about tacos and taking it easy. Every week from 5pm, the upstairs space hosts an all-you-can-eat taco evening for HUF 5 990, where guests can build their own combinations from meat and veg fillings, house-made sauces and fresh toppings.

On 15 February, Púder Bárszínház és Galéria will host its very first board game afternoon in collaboration with the Játszóház Projekt. Visitors can look forward to relaxed, drop-in gaming with at least 40 carefully selected modern board games, tailored to the occasion, alongside professional game masters who will help you choose a game, explain the rules and assist with any questions along the way.

Bëlga album launch tour at Dürer Kert

Formed in 1998, Bëlga has appeared on the main stages of all major Hungarian festivals and regularly plays sold-out club shows across the country during the autumn–spring season. The band will present the new record at Dürer Kert on 27 and 28 February, inviting anyone who's into gardening, has been pushed down a motorway, or has ever realised too late that they forgot to take the bins out.
