At this outlet on Arany János utca, each ice cream is the result of an exciting flavour combination. Instead of traditional scoops, ice creams come in a small box. A portion of about two or three scoops is topped with dried or fresh fruit, sponge cake or other decorations. These are all made next door, often from vegan ingredients. Recently, flavours such as raspberry-lychee, salted caramel-peanut, blackberry-yoghurt, mango-passion fruit-coconut and strawberry-pistachio have all featured, but the selection changes every two or three weeks.

Fagyi
Fagyi is a new business run by a couple who, as parents, wanted to take their kids to the best ice-cream place in town. So they decided to open their own. Fagyi is located in the Duna House offices by the HÉV lines near Boráros tér. Its colourful counter should catch your eye. Nearly 100 variations rotate here, from classic salted caramel to rum-and-raisin, while the little ones can sometimes find a very colourful unicorn, made without colorants or aromas. Two types of sprinkles also feature to top your scoops.

GELATERIA PICHLER
The Gelateria Pichler opened this month on the corner of Városház and Kossuth Lajos utca. The design takes visitors into the world of comics, while the ice creams are made with the help of Balázs Damniczki, who comes from a dynasty of famed ice-cream makers. Milk-free, sugar-free or caramel chocolate, buttery corn, cinnamon and cherry, iced coffee and salted caramel all feature. A speciality here is that you can order your ice-cream squashed between two slices of brioche.
