Imagine the blackest club in Budapest, where a no-decibel-cap is paired with Martin audio equipment. That's Lärm. The place that isn't about trendy interior design, colourful cocktails or music for the masses, but about the most talented DJs and underground electronic music whether it's labelled techno, house, disco or footwork. Clearly this place is not for everyone (and that's not a bad thing - it has a max capacity of 250), but if you are looking for a truly underground underground venue in the heart of Budapest, this is it.

Corvintető
Corvinető is located on the top floor of a battered department store, so their slogan is more than fitting: underground above the city! The club is one of the most popular meeting places for the local youth - as well as tourists looking for a big night out. It's just a 2 minute walk from the easily accessible Blaha Lujza Square and it hosts one of the longest running party series in Budapest: Rewind. Corvintető (and Rewind) isn't bound by genres, the DJs here spin everything from deep house to drum 'n' bass and hardcore. And let's not forget that you can usually rely on this place to remain open until dawn. Electronic music fans are likely to become regulars here.

Tesla Budapest (Closed)
A building behind the Museum of Electrical Engineering has turned into a real party palace called Tesla. It's the most outstanding club in Budapest's party quarter with its premium quality Void sound system, tasty cocktails, heated smoking area and eyecandy interior design. Unlike most of the places in the party quarter, the club covers a wide variety of genres night by night: pulsing deep house, gut-rippingly brutal techno, drum 'n' bass and a lot more. If you want to party like a sir/lady, this is your place!

Now let's get more easy-going and start that damn hustlin! If you agree then kolor is your place. Here the DJs cook a healthy portion of hip-hop, trap, juke and other genres to keep you on the dancefloor. Shake, shake, shake - that's our advice. If you get tired, grab a cocktail or try one of their snacks, both of them are great cures for nearly any kind of night you're having. As far as ongoing party series are concerned, the weekly Monday Sessions and monthly Onehundred are both a must for hip-hop heads.

PRLMNT
PRLMNT (pronounced Parliament) is in the heart of Budapest near Nyugati Railway Station. In addition to the auditorium (with gallery), it also has a charming terrace onto the Grand Boulevard, a bistro, exclusive VIP areas and private rooms. Like Tesla they have a Void sound system guaranteeing the ultimate clubbing experience as far as music is concerned. A night spent at PRLMNT is a night you won't forget.

NOMURI
One of the best things about Nomuri is that it hosts one of the city's hottest ongoing party series: Snapback - a very cool hip-hop party. It also hosts Standard Disco - the name says it all really, and Sex&Schluss - the sexiest deep house party in Budapest. Another reason to go to Nomuri is the welcoming atmosphere, the charming interior design and the good vibrations that keeps you here until the moon becomes the sun.

Room 8
The best kind of parties are house parties: your friends, your favourite DJs and your favourite drink. And that's what is good about Room 8, it brings a house party-vibe to Budapest's nightlife. It is refreshing to have a place which isn't about slavishly following current trends but about good music and quality entertainment. Fogasház functions both as a ruin pub and a club: they have budget-friendly drinks and cocktails to quench your thirst and a big dance floor and well-known local DJs to cure your boogie fever.
