The most romantic evening of the year is approaching, which you can now celebrate at a truly special venue. Budapest's new jewellery box, the Matild Palace, is preparing for Valentine’s Day with stunning dishes and sensual cocktails.

The restaurant, recommended by Michelin Guide, Spago by Wolfgang Puck, awaits on 14 February with an unforgettable dining experience and surprise features. At The Duchess, a secret luxury bar tucked away atop the Matild Palace, you can sip exciting Valentine’s Day cocktails amid the dazzling lights of Budapest.

The six-course dinner menu at Spago was dreamed up for the occasion by head chef István Szántó and his team. Dinner will be opened by scallop ceviche, followed by a duck-liver terrine, then miso-coated fillet of pike-perch, and pan-roasted, game-style venison, all accompanied by exciting wine pairings and refreshing cocktails. Dinner closes with a dessert of mysterious sensuality, guaranteed to make your romantic evening unforgettable.

Not only is Spago preparing a special experience for Valentine’s Day but the rooftop bar, bathed in city lights, The Duchess, will also crown this special occasion. Although it is usually closed on Mondays, the mysterious princess is opening her doors on 14 February and awaits with majestic cocktails such as the sensuous Green Velvet made with matcha tea, Campari-based Pink Lover, Bitter Sweet Love of spicy cardamom and Deepest Desire created with special quince pálinka brandy.

A table for Valentine’s Day dinner can be booked through the Spago website.
