Budapest’s famed folk hub, the Fonó Club, is staging the first three nights
of the annual Újbuda Jazz Festival, from 30 September to 2 October. Other
concerts will take place at the A38 Ship. The event kicks off with the Santa
Diver Trió and the Nagy Emma Quinet on Thursday, 30 September, followed by Croatia’s
Atma Mundi Ensemble and Hungary’s renowned Dresch Double Quartet on 1 October,
before the Mordent Quintet and the Gadó Trió bookend the Fonó part of the
festival on Saturday, 2 October.
