Five cinemas and a night filled with 70 fantastic films – what more could a movie lover ask for? From thought-provoking Hungarian dramas to international favourites, it’s all happening in one unforgettable evening! On 17 May, Művész, Puskin, Toldi, Kino, and Tabán cinemas throw open their doors for an all-night movie marathon. Grab a single wristband (at the cinemas or here for HUF 6,200), and you’re free to hop between screenings until sunrise.
Night of Art Cinemas brings back some of last year’s standout films – so if you missed Bad Living, The Substance, or The Snail’s Memoirs, now’s your chance to catch them on the big screen. Plus, don’t miss the pre-premiere highlights, including Cologne ’75, When Autumn Arrives, This Is Not Me, and Diamanti. At Puskin, a whole room is dedicated to the whimsical world of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Toldi’s main theatre revisits David Lynch’s surreal classic Blue Velvet, celebrating its 40th anniversary. At Tabán, you’ll find some of the finest animated films from recent years, while Kino hosts all three parts of Szabolcs Hajdu’s acclaimed relationship trilogy.
Films will be screened in their original language or with English subtitles.
