Since 2015, Müpa and other concert halls round the world have dedicated 29 March to piano music, celebrated with a grandiose concert series. This exact date was chosen because it’s the 88th day of the year – same as the number of keys on a standard keyboard. The initiative comes from Nils Frahm, a contemporary composer and performer, and David Klavins, a renowned piano manufacturer. Most of the concerts – with the exception of the closing concert – are free of charge, although some require registration. For more details, check the official website.
