Hungarian and Estonian are of Finno-Ugric origin, but the people speaking them have spread far and wide over the millennia and followed different historical paths. Where do the Northern and Baltic traditions and Central-Eastern European history, and the common post-Socialist experience, meet in the 21st century? Which themes, problems and motifs in the art of each country can be compared in parallel? Works by Dénes Farkas, Johnson & Johnson, Flo Kasearu, Marko Mäetamm, Marge Monko, Tanja Muravskaja, Kristina Norman and Kaido Ole aim to answer these questions and offer a glimpse into Estonia's exciting contemporary art scene.
