Ever since the release of their second album in 2001, the Norwegian group Jaga Jazzist have been revered by lovers of sophisticated yet accessible jazz. While some may be struck by the sheer number of instruments and musicians in the band and the complexity of their songs, humour and magical, dream-like moods also combine to take the listener on a special musical journey. Four years on from their last release, the eight-member group began working on another album in 2019, which ensures that they should have new songs to perform for their visit to Müpa Budapest on 18 December.
