Between 9 and 12 September, one of Hungary’s most iconic events, the Budapest wine festival, returns to Buda Castle with more than a thousand wines, premium gastronomy, concerts and wine-focused programmes. This year, visitors can look forward to free tastings, Kvaterka talks and pop-up wine tastings, as well as the new Explorer ticket, which offers 50% off admission for those arriving before 5pm. With great wines, sunset views over the Danube, good company and plenty of flavours to discover, it’s a fitting way to say goodbye to summer.
