The Budapest Photo Festival, opening on 28 February at the Műcsarnok, is an annual city-wide exhibition series celebrating the contemporary and classical values of photography. This year, the main motif of the festival is collective and individual recollection, in which reality mingles with nostalgia and fantasy. The festival also places emphasis on demonstrating the permeability between photography and other art forms. The opening show, A Venetian Story by Paolo Ventura, is a unique collection, where fine art, photography, imagination and reality all meet.
