World-famous Italian, Turkish, and Portugese writers visit Budapest for this literary festival, so Hugarian writers, journalists and translators have a public chat with them. If you are a fan of the Portuguese David Machado (author of the Average Happiness Index), Giulia Caminito (author of the novel The Water of the Lake Is Never Sweet), Oya Baydar (one of Turkey’s most popular and respected writers), and Davide Calì (creator of picture books and comics), join the talk sessions and learn more about them! The Italian cartoonist and writer Luca Novelli and the Dutch Milo Van Bokkum, who wrote a popular book about the special meaning and significance of borders separating countries, will also perform.

The language is the mother tounge of the authors and Hungarian. All the programmes at PesText are free.
