Alexander Tinei is one of the most acclaimed artists of his generation, mostly known for creating figurative paintings. His art reflects the problems and ideas of our time, especially the tendency to search for identity and a sense of self. His signature pale figures, usually marked with blue lines, emerge from distinctive spaces, and are the main aspects of his unmistakable style.

In his latest series, Tinei moves past the psychological depiction of his figures, shifting his focus on creative freedom instead, with an almost playful use of materials. He brings back his unique figures but in a much braver, more experimental way, both in terms of use of colour and painting techniques. With the adoption of a new graphic method, the linocut, he provides brand new perspectives and yet unseen aesthetic qualities in his art.
