Stepping into Cinema Mystica — located inside the Párisi Udvar and accessible from Ferenciek tere — visitors are invited on a multi-sensory, immersive journey that explores some of the great questions of life and the cosmos. Form in Flux – Patterns of Consciousness, the digital art exhibition, offers an extraordinary experience for all ages. Through light installations, sound design and interactive spaces, it immerses you in a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination begin to blur.
Form in Flux: beyond the senses
Inside the 1,000-square-metre immersive space, visitors can encounter works by 26 Hungarian and international artists. One of our favourites is The Visitors — four monumental human-shaped figures standing in a cosmic environment, silently observing the unfolding scene. Are they ancient, futuristic or otherworldly beings? That’s for each viewer to decide. As you approach them, the sculptures respond with subtle light and sound impulses, as if sensing your presence.
All Eyes on You offers an experience that is both soothing and slightly unsettling. Stepping inside, visitors are greeted by a field of eyes arranged in the pattern of the Flower of Life. As you walk across the surface, the eyes gently close beneath your feet, then reopen once you step away. They react to your movements — engaging with you, following you. The longer you linger in the space, the more vivid and responsive they become.
The Oracle is an entity residing inside a monumental LED chamber, ready to reveal what the stars say about you. By entering your date of birth, it generates a personalised reading based on your astrological profile. Here, modern technology meets ancient knowledge, combining to create a unique and intriguing interpretation tailored just for you.
The installation Prizma is inspired by an Amazonian tribe known for its intricate textile and ceramic artistry. The piece serves as a tribute to their craftsmanship, preserving elements of their culture through technology. As you move left or right, the visual patterns come to life, subtly responding to your gestures and creating a quiet dialogue between viewer and artwork.
We ended our visit in the Solfeggio Room on the ground floor, though it’s just as fitting to start here to set the mood. The space offers a full-body, multi-sensory experience where colours, forms and vibrations gently envelop the visitor. Every surface pulses with the full colour spectrum of the chakra system, while sound-responsive visuals flow in a harmonious rhythm — weaving light and sound together into a moment that feels almost transcendent.
Solfeggio frequencies are special sound vibrations believed to support harmony between body and mind, offering healing, balance and deep relaxation. These ancient tones appear both in Western Christian Gregorian chants and in Indian Sanskrit mantras. They were rediscovered in the 1970s by Dr Joseph Puleo, whose research demonstrated their powerful effect on consciousness, their ability to promote healing, and their role in restoring the body’s natural equilibrium. The visuals in the room are generated in real time using TouchDesigner, then projected from an inverted half-dome onto the four walls and floor, creating a radiant, multi-dimensional space that surrounds the visitor.
Where you can step 700 years into the future
Since the end of October, the exhibition has expanded with a brand-new projection space located right by the entrance. Futurama Budapest, an interactive multimedia installation created for MVM Future Talks, invites visitors on a unique time-travel experience, revealing utopian visions of Budapest’s distant future. Taking a seat inside the circular projection room, you’ll watch the city’s skyline unfold from the present day all the way to the 27th century.
What will Budapest look like 100 or 200 years from now? Will it preserve its current character, or transform into something entirely different? Here too, the floor projections respond to movement, and sound once again plays a central role — though you’re equally free to simply relax in the circular chair and observe the unfolding future as a passive traveller in time.

Share an experience with someone — or indulge in a slow moment of your own
It’s recommended to purchase tickets online in advance, as capacity is limited and the exhibition often sells out. If any spots remain, on-site ticket purchases are also possible. You can find the ticket prices here. The experience can also be bought as a gift: online gift vouchers are available and valid for one year from the date of purchase. There’s even a combined ticket option that pairs the exhibition with a visit to the Párisi Passage — complete with a coffee-and-cake treat or a bistro menu for an added sensory experience.
It’s up to us whether we treat the exhibition as a light afternoon programme or dive deeper into its layers of meaning, taking home thoughts that linger long after we’ve left. One thing is certain: we walk out feeling more rested, relaxed and centred — a welcome pause before the holiday rush, whether we visit alone, with friends or with family.
