In the 2025 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Awards, Budapest secured a spot in three categories

Best of the Best Things To Do in the World

The first category is 'Top Experiences in the World', where the Budapest Danube Cruise with Buffet Dinner, Performances and Music claimed 8th place. It's relaxation and sightseeing all in one: you can float on the Danube while soaking up Budapest's illuminated skyline. Best of the Best Places to Visit in Europe

While all 25 destinations on the list are there for a good reason, Budapest takes 16th place, praised for its thermal water, rich history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. Ranked between Santorini and Porto, Tripadvisor highlights iconic spots like Gellért Baths, Széchenyi Baths, and Rudas Baths. It also mentions the Roman ruins at Aquincum Museum, the statues of Heroes' Square, and the dome of St Stephen's Basilica – which comes with breathtaking views for a fraction of the price of the Budapest Eye.

Best of the Best Hotels in Europe

Not one, but three Budapest hotels made the cut in this category, ticking all the boxes for outstanding service, comfy rooms, and many more.

Hotel Moments Budapest takes 5th place – an elegant pet-friendly hotel, where cool architecture meets modern vibes in a central location. Situated on World Heritage-listed Andrássy út, expect spacious, well-appointed rooms with great showers, strong Wi-Fi, and plenty of storage, plus a fitness centre and sauna for some well-earned relaxation.

Riverside Hotel Vision Budapest follows in 7th place – another accommodation welcoming four-legged friends. Its prime location is hard to beat, making it ideal for both shopping sprees and exploring the city. Cosy rooms with plush beds and thoughtful extras like slippers, bathrobes, and complimentary water make it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing.

In 8th spot, Hotel Clark Budapest offers a serene stay with a modern twist. Set near the iconic Chain Bridge, its stylish rooms feature comfortable beds and powerful showers. Indulge in nutritious and delicious dishes at the on-site restaurant, or grab a drink at the rooftop bar.
