MOME Fashion Show 2023

If you are into fashion and are keen to learn how the youngest generation perceives it, book a ticket to the fashion show of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME)! Similar to the practice of international fashion schools, a yearly fashion show is organised to provide an introduction opportunity for the university's fashion and textile design students, allowing a wider audience to see the future generation of designers. Each year, the latest talents make their debut at the event, meaning you will get to see works designed by BA and MA students for both the catwalk and the exhibition.

Harvest Celebration and Farmers' Market at Római-part

Római-part (Roman Beach) is a bucket-list item, according to us and the American Condé Nast Traveler. And visiting it in the autumn is as much fun as it is in the summer. Especially with events like Harvest Celebration and Farmers' Market, where you can get to know local producers and their local goods. And try such delicacies as must (freshly crushed juice of grapes before the fermentation process begins in winemaking) and lángos (deep-fried flatbread topped with sour cream and cheese). The market is open from 8 am to 1 pm.

Madách Flea Market x Moto Pizza

If you like hunting for treasures, especially if they are vintage, head to the gate of Budapest's Jewish district and browse on Madách tér. The Flea Market will be open from midday to 5 pm, and if you'd stop for a quick but yummy lunch, you can count on the crusty Neapolitan pizzas of Moto.

2 Years of Rakéta – Tattoo Flashday

RAKTEA STUDIOS is a cool tattoo & piercing shop celebrating its birthday on October 7th. On the occasion, the team invites you to join (by popping into the 8th-district coffee shop Susuka from 1 pm) and get some 'permanent body paint'. Or not. It's up to you, but music, merch, drinks, snacks, and giveaways will be in store, too.

See the list of tattoo artists here.

The Night of Brewpubs

The Night of Brewpubs is all about taprooms, craft beer (fresh from the tap), and matching pub food. You can enjoy the hospitality of Etyeki SörmanufaktúraHoptop BreweryHorizont BrewingHübris, and Monyo

Thylacine (FR), guest: OIEE

A38 Ship is a floating club, an iconic concert scene. And on October 7th, you can pop in with a good reason: the French Thylacine (William Rezé) is taking the stage to bring us his progressive and vaporous electronica and a wild and intimate journey. His music combines the cadenced and melancholic techno of Paul Kalkbrenner with the aerial melodies of Moderat or Four Tet. He is a fearless performer who plays as much as possible, improvises, does not shy away from bringing his alto sax into the mix, and becomes one with the music.

Yoga & Wellness

What could be more relaxing and comforting on a gloomy autumn day than spa and yoga? On October 8th, you can do both at the Mystery Hotel Budapest, more precisely, at its lush Secret Garden Spa. Release stress and enjoy sound healing at the 1-hour-long class (5 pm - 6 pm), then continue detoxicating in the steam cabin, sauna, and jacuzzi (6 pm - 9 pm).

International Coffee Day 2023

Coffee enthusiasts are gathering at the downtown club Akvárium to celebrate International Coffee Day together. Several activities, booths, brews, and contests await between 11 am and 6 pm, but it's worth staying after hours, too. That way, you can peek behind the red curtain and join the Samurai Speakeasy Party for some caffeine-infused dancing.

More details and tickets here (Hungarian-only).

Day of Hungarian Jazz 2023

It will be the 15th time the Hungarian Jazz Federation celebrate the genre and its talented artists (local and international) with a series of concerts, making it the biggest event of Hungarian jazz.
