The Trafó House of Contemporary Arts in Budapest is a base for an audience thirsty for unusual and inspiring experiences. It is a non-traditional theater, an inclusive contemporary art space, complete with gallery organizing brave and high quality exhibitions. Instead of having its own troupe, it provides an opportunity for independent troupes that do not have a permanent venue to play at. Audiences can see productions of documentary theater, musical theater, puppet theater, dance, music and top productions of Hungarian and international new circus here. Trafó is not afraid to introduce audiovisual musical theater or digital performances, either. In addition to domestic productions, it regularly features performances that have shaken and re-energized the contemporary performing art scene worldwide.
