If you are in town this autumn, watch out! Angelina Jolie is coming to Budapest to take on a role in Pablo Larraín's upcoming film, 'Maria'
Budapest seems to live its heyday as a filming location. First, we reported that Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen was in town shooting Dust Bunny then Eddie Redmayne was spotted at a coffee shop. Now another celebrity alert is due: Angelina Jolie is coming in October!
This visit won't be her first time shooting in the Hungarian capital. However, 13 years ago, she was on the other side of the camera, directing the war drama In the Land of Blood and Honey. Now she is returning to film Pablo Larraín's new movie Maria, starring as the iconic opera singer Maria Callas. The film follows Maria's life in Paris during her final days.
According to the Budapest Reporter, the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning actress is expected to stay in Budapest between October and December, so keep your eyes peeled.
