City Park has just become an even more tempting destination for family adventures and romantic rendezvous. Its boating lake reopened, meaning you can hop into a boat and set sail into the sunset or plunge into a more challenging task and paddle your way through on board a SUP. Here is all you need to know.

Budapest's lush City Park is always a good place to be. It is home to the uniquely shaped Museum of Ethnography, the Instagrammable House of Music Hungary, and the romantic Vajdahunyad Castle. It is brimming with playgrounds, cafés, chimney cakes and bars. And yesterday, the boating lake opened its season, jazzing up any afternoon spent in the park.

You can rent a boat, pedal boat or SUP every day between 10 am and 9 pm. If you are more of an adrenaline seeker, look out for the occasional SUP yoga class. SUP rental is ringing up at HUF 2,000 for 30 minutes, while boats cost HUF 3,000 and pedal boats are HUF 4,000.

If water sports don't speak to your heart, but you like the atmosphere, you can also come to dance. Once every fortnight, Latin music is played, bringing out those bachata and salsa moves (all levels are welcome).
