See an exhibition of works by textile artists
If you wish to see something different to the Star Wars or Vaszary exhibition, be there at the opening of the 7th Texhibition - an exhibition showcasing works by Hungarian textile artists. In addition to the novelties of local designers, the works of Hungarian-Dutch Ilona Lénárd will also be on display at the FUGA Budapest Architecture Centre between 3-26 February.

Hunt for treasures at Jurányi Ház
If you enjoy the flea market vibes, you will appreciate the garage sale at the theatre and community space Jurányi Ház. The lack of storage space inspired a great event: they put a big chunk of costumes and clothes up for sale. You can bargain on them between 2-4 February if you head to the top floor corridor of building B.
Party with LavaLava and Josh Wink at A38
A38 Ship is an iconic concert venue, and if you like electronic dance music, you should visit it tonight. LavaLava (event series, DJ crew & record label from Budapest) brings us Josh Wink, an artist who has worked hard since 1990 to become one of the world's most in-demand purveyors of experimental and electronic dance music. He has topped the charts as often as he has headlined the most esteemed underground clubs in the world, which is quite the endorsement if you ask us.

Saturday, 4 February
Get your hands on pieces of vinyl at the Szimpla Record Fair
On the first Saturday of every month, a record fair pops up at Budapest's iconic ruin pub Szimpla Kert (between 12 pm- 6 pm). This means that you can get your hands on the latest vinyl or find treasures from the past, then celebrate the bargain with a Hungarian craft beer.
See what's next in vogue at the Budapest Central European Fashion Week
One of the major fashion events of the region, the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) is returning between 2-6 February 2023. The 2023/24 autumn-winter collections of Hungarian and regional designers will be presented in a more personalised form at several cool locations. See the new collection of DAIGE at the National Dance Theatre, Abodi at the Hungarian National Museum, Kata Szegedi at the Museum of Ethnography, or Petra Kovacs at the ELTE University Library.

Dive into the world of art at the Open Art Festival
On February 4th, you can immerse yourself in varied artistic pleasures at Gödör Klub. Open Art Festival is the love child of a massive artsy gathering and an eccentric carnival. Meet visual artists and musicians, see exhibitions and performances, join workshops (brush up on your vogue dance skills), and stay for the party, powered by the team of Open Mic Budapest.

Have a bubbly brunch at BABA
Sundays are for lazy brunches. Baba, the lush eatery close to St Stephen’s Basilica, knows it too and is ready to treat you to a creamy Eggs Benedict or an immensely delicious sweet Rosa (combining Turkish Honey, feta, slow-roasted strawberry, sweetbread and vanilla cream). Go sledding and skiing to Normafa
Thanks to the freezing cold, the weather conditions are ideal for enjoying snow up in the Buda hills. Normafa, a top-notch hiking destination with amazing views, is also more tempting now as part of its slopes got covered in snow. The snow might be partly artificial (made by snow cannons), but it allows visitors to go sledding or cross-country skiing. The conditions might change during the weekend, so always check their Facebook page for updates.

See Deaf Radio (GR) and Görbe Bögre live
Deaf Radio is a young and talented alternative rock band from Athens. Their music is infused with psychedelic and stoner elements. Their debut album Alarm, released in 2017, received good reviews. They brought it to Budapest in 2018, and now they are returning to the Hungarian capital to hit the stage at Auróra (8 pm). Guest band is Görbe Bögre.
