The Sziget Festival is kicking into action again this summer with new stages and specially allocated VIP sections. Running 10-15 August – there are no -1 and 0 days this year, only the main six-day bash – this long-established event will still be running boat parties and other popular attractions after its enforced three-year absence. Huge crowds are expected for Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa and Kings of Leon, who headline the first three nights.

DJs to spin in a 360-degree Colosseum, hip-hop artists to perform in their native language on the dropYard Stage and alt-rock acts to appear in the FreeDome, the former A38 tent – these are the major changes to the structure of this year’s Sziget, the first since Ed Sheeran helped the festival break the half-a-million visitor mark in 2019.

The other major shift for 2022 is that each main venue, including the Main Stage, Colosseum and FreeDome, will have a special VIP area for those happy to pay extra.

So far, most of the big names have been confirmed – including Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa and Kings of Leon, but more acts should be announced soon.
