A spectacular new section of the huge EuroVelo 6 cycle route has just been given the green light. A cycle bridge, the first of its kind in Hungary, will be built between Dunabogdány and Kisoroszi on Szentendre Island. EuroVelo 6 runs from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, taking in Nantes, Basel, Vienna and Budapest, before heading to Belgrade and Constanța.
The new cycle bridge on EuroVelo 6 will run from Hajós utca by the Danube on the Kisoroszi side, and an area of the waterworks in Dunabogdány. The crossing will feature a couple of rest stops, allowing riders to enjoy this bucolic setting some 35km north of Budapest.
