From this Monday, 7 March, it will no longer be obligatory to wear a mask on public transport or in shops in Hungary. Restrictions will still apply to hospitals and care homes.

In a major easing of pandemic restrictions, you will no longer be obliged to wear a mask on public transport or in shops. There will also be no need to show your Immunity Certificate to enter certain attractions and institutions. The government will continue to maintain the health emergency.
