One of the most important wind passageways in Budapest, a Buda Green Corridor is being created to connect Városmajor, Vérmező, Tabán and Gellért Hill, all the way to the Danube and beyond, to traffic-snarled Pest. This improvement of the capital’s air quality is part of the overall redevelopment of Városmajor, the oldest public park in Buda.

As part of the major revamp of Városmajor, more clearings and recreation areas will be created, new trees planted and water features installed. A pathway will link to Vérmező for pedestrians and cyclists, all of which will help to ventilate Budapest and improve its air quality.

Buda Green Corridor

This will form part of the Buda Green Corridor, conveying fresh air from the Buda hills via Vérmező, Tabán and Gellért Hill to the Danube and the city. Keeping these green surfaces in good condition and preventing any construction around them will be equally important.
