In the works for several years, the walkway linking one corner of Széll Kálmán tér to the square itself, with its metro station in the middle and terminus of the 4/6 tram on the other side, has just been unveiled.
Meanwhile the Postapalota, the century-old, castle-like landmark dominating the southern edge of the square, will soon be transformed into the Museum of Finance and Banking History, an interactive visitor centre.
