Greek TV travel show makes a Budapest Christmas special

Discover Budapest through the eyes of Greek TV presenter Venia Antoniou as she leads you through the Hungarian capital as part of the popular Travel Diary series. Filmed one Christmas before the pandemic, Venia’s 20-minute odyssey takes in Budapest’s main Christmas market, the Gellért Baths and the New York Café, among many other attractions. English subtitles accompany Venia’s presentation in Greek.

A popular show on national Greek and Cypriot TV, Travel Diary takes Venia Antoniou on journeys of discovery around the world. Their special Christmas edition captures the atmosphere of Budapest’s Advent markets, Magyar flavours and the most beautiful landmarks in the Hungarian capital.

Impressive bridges, romantic atmosphere and prestigious buildings,” gushes Venia, as she samples mulled wine, goulash soup and Gundel pancakes. Her spa experience has her soaking in warm thermal waters and skipping around the outdoor pool in the freezing cold, though she seems happiest when endlessly gazing over the city’s illuminated bridges.
