From Wednesday, 1 December, Budapest’s magical Christmas tram will be zipping around once more to shine its Yuletide lights across the city until 6 January. Services run between 3pm and 8pm. Standard transport tickets and passes are valid.
This year, route 2 along the Pest embankment, 47 and 49 across Liberty Bridge, and the 56A and 59 through hilly Buda, will all feature the Christmas tram, as well as lines 14, 19, 42, 50, 62A and 69. This special service will not be running on 24 and 31 December.
Each operates on a different day of the week, generally Mondays and Wednesdays for tram 2.
