As case numbers continue to rise in the fourth wave of the Covid pandemic, masks will be compulsory on public transport from Monday, 1 November. There are also restrictions on hospital visits – and further measures can be expected.
As well as compulsory masks on
Budapest transport from 1 November, measures just announced include a ban on hospital
visits. Other institutions are also considering similar measures.
From now on, companies have the right to ask their employees to be vaccinated or risk losing their jobs. If case
numbers continue to worsen, a further tightening of restrictions can be
expected.
