The one-hectare Szilfa glade near Budakeszi is a popular family excursion destination with a great view of János Hill and Elizabeth Lookout Tower. So popular, in fact, that its infrastructure, installed decades ago, had seen better days.
The Pilis Park forest authorities have begun to renovate Szilfa glade for the many hikers and nature lovers who frequent it. As it’s also close to Budakeszi Wildlife Park, families are regular visitors, too, so one of the main goals of the renovation was to create a new playground.
Along with benches and tables for picnics and barbecues, bike storage can also be found, meeting the demand of the increasing number of cyclists.
