A new public park is being established at the northern tip of Csepel island, a former industrial zone currently being transformed by contemporary initiatives. This will create a sprawling 36 hectares of urban green, the extent of which has not been seen in Budapest in 50 years.
At the northernmost tip of Csepel island, next to the Soroksár branch of
the Danube, the new park will comprise large recreation areas and clearings, hiking and cycling trails,
promenades, wooded groves, sports courts, an outdoor gym, a climbing
wall, a ski park and running tracks, communal gardens, playgrounds and wetlands.
