Due to reopen on 19 May, popular waterside retreat Lupa Beach will be free for all to use for a week, including bank holiday weekend around 22-24 May. Located just outside Budapest at Budakalász, Lupa Beach has also expanded its family area. Immunity Certificates are not required for admission.

One of summer’s most popular attractions, Lupa Beach offers a wealth of activities around a man-made lake, wakeboarding, sailing, SUP, surfing and rowing, along with beach volleyball, handball and Teqball.

From this year, the EuroVelo 6 cycle route, linking the Atlantic to the Black Sea, will have direct access to the lake, with bike storage and a service point.

Also new for 2021 is VidámPart (‘Happy Bank’), the family area with bouncy castles and a giant trampoline, a playhouse and a babysitting service. Teenagers can do battle in the air-conditioned VR room.

Immunity Certificates will not be required for admission, although basic restrictions will still apply.
