With the threshold figure of 3.5 million people in Hungary now vaccinated, café and restaurant terraces have reopened from 24 April. In further good news, after four million have received vaccinations, expected around the middle of this week, many public amenities may open, including spas, pools and gyms. While terraces may operate until 9.30pm with only staff obliged to wear masks, specific regulations concerning other institutions will be announced next week.
The news that everyone has been waiting for, café and restaurant terraces may reopen from Saturday, 24 April. The city should also see public facilities such as spas, pools, stadiums, gyms and zoos also reopen before too long – although it’s not yet clear whether those will require some kind of proof of vaccination on the part of the visitor.
