Watching Zsófia Pirók dancing flamenco in a fiery red dress in the streets of Budapest, it’s as if Andalusia has been transported to the Hungarian capital. She is seen lighting up the empty capital thanks to our own Péter Kálló, whose video presents the city and the art of dance from a completely new perspective.

Flamenco dancer Zsófia Pirók and videomaker/photographer Péter Kálló have created a complete work of art with a poetic vision of Budapest, showcasing passionate moments in the art of dance, sometimes in slow motion, other times in full flow. The deserted capital makes all this especially dramatic.

The scenes are accompanied by the powerful voice of flamenco singer Alicia Carrasco. The creators explained that they originally planned to shoot in Seville as well:

New face of Budapest

“One of the aims of the video is to draw attention to the current situation of artists, as a lot of people are now forced to look for new avenues, whereas we also know that the spiritual nourishment provided by art is also so essential to maintaining our overall health. The other goal is to present a new face of Budapest, one never been seen before, as an expert flamenco dancer brings the best-known parts of our beloved city to life.”
