A different kind of spring has come to Budapest this year. Locals have slowly reclaimed the streets and public spaces, within strict guidelines, of course, and begun to enjoy the open air and the pleasures the city has to offer. Meanwhile, nature seems blissfully unaware of the coronavirus, happily coming to life and unfolding once the sun came out. Even the goats have returned to Népsziget! Our photographers went out to capture these special sights and moments.

Heading out to bucolic destinations within the city such as Margaret Island, Népsziget, Normafa, bright Tóth Árpád sétány in the Castle District and the gardens at the National Museum, WLB photographers created this lovely selection of images, snapshots of how Budapest looks in the spring of 2020.
