Ever wondered how it looks outside after curfew? Between 8pm and 5am, everyone has to stay indoors apart from people walking their dog and those working after regular office hours. The other night, this included ace photographer Sándor Csudai, who captured these images of Budapest’s ghostly streets patrolled by dog-loving locals and their pets.

Budapest always gives dogs leeway. With a strict curfew imposed for all between 8pm and 5am, the authorities do allow owners to walk their dogs within 500 metres of their residence. Our photographer Sándor Csudai went out to capture how the chilly streets feel at night with no cars or crowds, just the patter of dog paws and the odd few words from an owner strangely happy to be strolling outdoors when everybody else is inside.
