Our photographer Sándor Csudai set out after 8 o'clock in the evening - strictly for the purpose of work, of course! - heading for the city centre, which had fallen silent due to the curfew. In the photo gallery below, we catch a glimpse of what a deserted Budapest looks like.

In an effort to combat the second wave of coronavirus, the authorities have imposed a curfew from 8pm to 5am. Those heading to or from work are permitted to go outside after hours, and our photographer Sándor Csudai took his camera around town to capture the emptied streets.
