To celebrate International Music Day on 1 October and express hope in these terrible times, the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra have produced a stirring video to the soundtrack of the New World Symphony by Antonín Dvořák:
The short film, without any text, delivers its message with music and images of spring’s shutdown and summer’s free outdoor concerts.
The PPO also play a special show at Müpa on Friday, 2 October, with Beethoven and Brahms on the agenda, under the baton of Gilbert Varga. The accomplished British conductor who will be granted Hungarian citizenship the day before when the orchestra give another performance at the Kodály Center in Pécs.
